DESCRIPTION
True to its name, the Axis hinge provides strength and stability through a compact pivot point. Used for a variety of applications, it is designed as a smaller version of the Future Glass Gamma Hinge and accommodates 1/4 in. (6 mm) and 5/16 in. (8 mm) thick glass. The Axis opens 90 degrees inward and 90 degrees outward and self-centers within 15 degrees of closed-door position. Future Glass' unique square cut-out design alleviates the need for traditional mouse ear glass panel cut-outs. Eliminating the need to remove the backing plate completely when fixing the hinge to the door panel allows for significantly faster and easier installation. To reduce door slippage, the Axis hinges come with FastFit fixed-gasket technology for 5/16 in. (8 mm) glass with an additional gasket for use with 1/4 in. (6 mm) glass.
